Coronavirus infection becomes a global issue since 31 December 2019. There is a need for awareness about COVID 19 to control the coronavirus infection by taking precautionary measures told by WHO and Health ministry. It is a Cross sectional study. The survey was conducted by using self-assessment questionnaires during the period of 17th Jan- 4th Feb 2021. In this study 201members participated, study was conducted to assess the knowledge about COVID-19 Symptoms, Transmission, Safety precautions taken by the general population while going outside and in the home and Dietary measures are taken by the general public; the study was limited to certain districts of the Telangana region, India. In this study most of the participants are females and most of them belong to urban area. In this study Students are participated mostly. 81% participants follow the safety measures and precautions told by the WHO and Health ministry. All the Participants carry Mask while going outside. During the study only 1% people took vaccine and 43% people don’t know about the vaccine. Even though COVID19 vaccines are available there is need for precautionary measures taken by each and every individual to avoid the COVID19 as the cases are increasing day by day. Most of the participants are aware about Coronavirus transmission, symptoms but some rural area people are unaware about it but they maintain the hygienic in their routine life. So, there is need for education in rural area about COVID19.
